Description
A 30mA RCCB is the device that protects people rather than equipment — it trips on earth leakage far below the current needed to cause a fatal shock.
This is a Type A unit, meaning it detects pulsating DC leakage as well as pure AC. That matters in any modern house: inverters, LED drivers, VFDs and appliance electronics all produce DC leakage components that a cheaper Type AC device will simply miss.
If your board has no RCCB, this is the single most important thing on this site to add.
